I spent years working on a trading desk at a major bank. I played the game well, made good money, and watched how the system really works. Then came the 2008 crash. Reckless banks got bailed out, while ordinary people lost everything. That was my wake-up call.

I started asking bigger questions. If cash can be inflated away, what’s really safe? If governments can print money out of thin air, what actually holds value? If banks can collapse overnight, who really controls your wealth?

That’s when I turned to gold.

Why I left the financial system
